Old Lady Otts

Even though I don't pay much attention to the concept of age, I call myself Old Lady Otts.

Why? To remind myself now is my time to embody the fun-loving spirit of the old lady in Jenny Joseph's wonderful poem:

"When I am an old woman
I shall wear purple
With a red hat
which doesn't go,
and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend
my pension on brandy
and summer gloves.
And satin sandals,
and say we've no money
for butter. . ."

I love to travel, explore, and engage in adventures.

Paradoxically, I love to plant my bohonkus in a recliner and watch the world go by.

Now is my time to share my "I remember when!" and "Back in my day!" stories.

I hope I can offer you something of interest and value.

As Jenny Joseph so wisely put it, now is the time to "make up for the sobriety of my youth."

You're never too old for purple hair
and Steampunk shenanigans.
